According to a post over at the Cutlass Isle boards, PC Zone UK has reviewed Sid Meier's Pirates!, and given it a score of 88% - along with the rank "PC Zone Essential".
If the review is really a review, and it's a printed magazine, then it means it probably was made a while ago, a week - maybe two, who knows. And since we know that Sid Meier's Pirates! still hasn't gone gold yet, I'm questioning if this review is at all serious. I know it's common practice to review near-release-version of games, but I'm always very suspicious to those sorts of reviews.
On the other hand, 88% isn't a bad score at all - but who knows, if they have played the retail version they might have found a few things better / tweaked some more, which means that the game perhaps deserved an even better score. |
