Lprieto33 tipped me about this one, it seems like Time Magazine has named the ten best video games of 2004. Sid Meier's Pirates! made it as the tenth best game of 2004. Not bad, considering titles like Half-Life 2, Doom 3 and other great games are left out of that list.
Sid Meier’s classic has been given a 21st century makeover. Meier has added lush new 3-D graphics and a host of minigames within the game. Pirates! lets you play exactly the way you want to, turning the entire Caribbean into your own giant sandbox. Ideal for: Scurvy sea dogs and swashbucklers.
